Janice has left the building

I have emailed my resignation, effective immediately, from my day job at LloydsTSB. I have worked for them, in the same building, for 20 years, now over half my life. I feel liberated, light-hearted and relieved. On the whole they have been good to me, but the job has changed around me and now I have been given a target for promotion of bank services and I simply cannot work with that. Aside from the loss of hard cash per month, I am full of optimism about the future. There is a certain freedom to be achieved from allowing yourself to be free of the fear of salary.

woo hoo, exciting news. At least you can stop pulling sickies now ;)

We're around this week btw if you want to get together. Trying to get organised for holiday but fairly flexible around that, the only day I cna't do at the moment is Friday. (oh, and today would be silly too as joe's doing that football thing). Thursday would work, as I've lost Abbie that day, and if you're around Anna would *love* to come and do some scrapping! I'll be on coffee making duty ;) Let me know what works!

Fantastic!!! Well done you. I did the same a year ago and it was the best thing I've ever done. Not as well off as I used to be but happy, healthy and enjoying life.
