The cyber crop is now all over, and I felt quite flat yesterday - scrapped out I suppose! I managed 4 layouts & a mini-book in all, and I am really pleased at how they turned out. Now I have the Scrapbook Sisters kit to work with and give my full attention, which I am looking forward to.
It has started - I LOVE these cyber crops. Usually I get loads of layouts done because there are classes to follow. Did one yesterday:
which seemed to take all night - don't think I'm the fastest scrapper in the west, but I like the finished layout. This morning I am taking Oliver to judo, having a burst of the 'Leg Magic' workout & then scrapping my little heart out all day. Lovely.
Been out for a meal with Mark, Charlie (eldest stepson) & Oliver at Bella Italia, for our Anniversary, which was yesterday. I had Calamari followed by a pizza, and I feel bloated. I was determined to eat everything in sight since a) I paid for it and b) I have been on a diet for a few weeks. Serves me right. Had a glass of wine & feel a bit squiffy, but feel I should carry on drinking wine as, in my experience, stopping now & drinking water/soft drinks makes me feel worse throughout the evening. That's the trouble with going out early pm. Now I will feel hungover in the morning, and it is my full day at the Bank, UGH. STILL - it is the Cyber Crop over on UKS tomorrow & I am looking forward to that....
Today is our 9th Wedding Anniversary! I love being Mark's wife & I remember our wedding day with real joy. It is a second marriage for both of us, both of us having done the big white wedding previously (not with each other LOL), and this time around we were married at the local Registry Office for £35 with Mark's children present (then 6 & 7 years old) and two witnesses. It was fab. I remember it so clearly - Mark and I were grinning like cheshire cats throughout the whole ceremony. For anyone who knows me, I am not generally given to smiling, being a huge pessimist, but Mark filled my life with hope and optimism, and we chose to be together for the same reasons, and our 'life aims' are still the same. It has not, however been an easy marriage, with stepchildren, ex-partners (Mark's), and lots of 'issues' but I like to think we have gritted our teeth when we needed to, and the choice to stay together, and be together, remains constant. I genuinely prefer Mark's company to anybody elses, and that is a first for me. (having previously enjoyed my own enormously!) It's been a good day today. Started off with a trip into town to get some fabric bits for a CC layout. Bought Oliver a plastic battle axe from Poundland with battle sounds, and you can't switch the bloody thing off. Think it's movement sensitive, but once moved it sounds like the Battle of bloody Hastings for about 10 minutes. Think that might end up being lobbed down the garden before sunrise....
Came home & found out that I am going to have one of my layouts published in 'Scrapbook Inspirations' magazine, which is great news. (Space allowing obviously) Will be really nice to take it & show everyone who doesn't 'get' my scrapping - oh, that's pretty much everyone I know then! (with a few notable exceptions of course). Also, there were a few of my layouts on the Scrapbook Sisters blog yesterday with some nice comments from them, and that is a great boost for my confidence.
In between a frenzy of scrapbook stuff today, have managed to get down to the allotment for a spot of digging with Oliver and also when cousin Jack came up to play (with Oliver!) got to do a load more digging in the garden, which is great too - job done & a good workout. Rustled up a Quorn, leek & mushroom pie for Mark's tea and so I feel like superwife today. LOL.
Incidentally, have lost over half a stone now & feeling pretty good about it actually. For all my dislike of dieting as I love food - I feel so much better when I restrict the amount I eat. AND there is a bit of room in my trousers for the first time in too long... AND have cut my wine intake down (a bit) too, which was previously an insurmountable task...
